What is the insurance company with this policy number?

Hello, I was in a car accident a week ago and the other person was at fault.

I have a police report with the person’s policy number.

In the report it says the person is insured by FLORIDA AUTO INSURANCE, but I can’t get any information about the company.

I have called my insurance (United Auto…. the worst insurance company ever) they can’t help me.

I have called the person at fault, she doesn’t want to cooperate.

I have called the police department, they can’t help.

Finally, I called the main DMV department and they told me I have to fax them the report and they will send me the information in 15 days or more.

Is there a way I can find the person’s company before.

You really should handle this through YOUR insurer.

While you can ask the other party’s insurer to pay your losses, you can’t compel them to do so and they have no incentive to cooperate with you. You can’t file a "claim" with them as you are not the policyholder and you can’t sue them as they are not a party to the accident.
